About Midland Dad Club

More than a dad group.

No dad should have to do fatherhood alone.

Our mission

Midland Dad Club was created with one simple belief: no dad should have to do fatherhood alone.

Our mission is to help dads become the best fathers they can be by building a strong local community where they can connect, learn, grow, and support one another.

Whether you’re a first-time dad, raising teenagers, married, divorced, single, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you here. Fatherhood doesn’t come with a manual, and none of us have all the answers. What we do have is each other.

What we do

Midland Dad Club exists to bring fathers together and create opportunities to build friendships, make memories with our kids, and become more intentional parents.

Throughout the year we host family events, dad-only meetups, coffee gatherings, community service projects, guest speakers, fitness activities, and workshops with trusted local organizations. We also connect dads with local resources whenever they need support.

Some dads join because they’re new to Midland and don’t know many people. Others are looking for activities to do with their kids. Some want parenting advice, while others are simply looking for a group of guys who understand the challenges of balancing work, family, and everything in between.

No matter why you join, you’re welcome here.

Why community matters

Fatherhood is one of the most rewarding things we’ll ever do, but it can also feel lonely.

Many dads carry the responsibility of providing for their families while trying to be present for their kids, support the people they love, and still make time to take care of themselves. It’s easy to feel like you’re supposed to figure it all out on your own.

We don’t believe that’s how it should be.

We believe strong dads build strong families, and strong families build strong communities. Sometimes all it takes is having another dad to grab coffee with, ask a question, or remind you that you’re not the only one figuring it out.

Why I started Midland Dad Club

My name is Zack Peterson, and I’m a husband, father of three, Air Force veteran, and Midland real estate agent.

When I was 17 years old, I lost my dad to suicide. It changed my life in ways I still carry with me today.

Years later, after becoming a father myself, I realized something. While my story is unique, the feeling of doing life alone isn’t. After moving to Midland, I found myself wishing there was a place where dads could meet, build friendships, and support one another. I figured I probably wasn’t the only one feeling that way.

So I started Midland Dad Club.

What began as a small Facebook group has grown into a community of local dads who encourage each other, organize their own get-togethers, volunteer together, share parenting advice, and show up for one another when it matters most.

My goal has never been for Midland Dad Club to be about me. My hope is that it becomes a community that belongs to all of us. A place where dads build real friendships and continue supporting each other long after an event is over.

If Midland Dad Club helps one dad feel less alone, become a more intentional father, or find the support he needed, then it’s doing exactly what I hoped it would.

We’d love to have you

Whether you’re looking to meet other dads, spend more intentional time with your kids, find local resources, or simply become part of a great community, we’d love to have you.

We’re not just building a dad group. We’re building a community where every father knows he belongs.
